Large Gifts, Endowments, and Charitable Distributions

GLACT welcomes large gifts and endowments, as both unrestricted funds and donor-restricted funds, as well as gifts from donor advised funds and qualified charitable distributions from retirement funds, to support one-time projects as well as ongoing goals. Donor Advised Funds

Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are charitable giving programs that allow you to combine the tax benefits of charitable giving with the flexibility to give to different causes at different times. If you have a Donor-Advised Fund, please consider adding GLACT to the charitable organizations that you support through your DAF. For more information on DAFs, please visit Fidelity Charitable.

Gifts of Appreciated Stock

You can receive a charitable tax deduction at the fair market value of publicly traded securities and bypass tax on capital gains by donating stocks to GLACT. Consult with your tax advisor to determine the amount of any deduction you may be able to claim. All stock donations must be made before Dec. 31 to be claimed in the current tax year. Employer Matching Donations

Matching gift programs allow you to increase the impact of your donations through the charitable giving program of the company you work for. Some companies match employee charitable donations 1:1, or sometimes even more! Contact your company’s Human Resources Department to see if your donation to GLACT is eligible to be matched by your company. Make Tribute in Honor of Loved One

GLACT welcomes tributes to commemorate, celebrate, or recognize life’s most important events. A tribute is a wonderful way to mark a special occasion or remember a loved one while making a meaningful charitable donation in support of public education.
